The M.P. Boutique Hotel (Wanbao dajiudian) is the first European style boutique hotel in Shanghai. This four star hotel is about 10km from the Hongqiao Airport and 7km from the railway station.
The hotel boasts of itself as having "an air of creative elegance, a presentation of European grandeur and artistic design, and rooms and facilities to suit the most discriminating guest". We would not go this far, the place is better for its facilities than its ambience. There are 76 guestrooms in this seven storey hotel, all equipped with satellite televisions, IDD telephones, fax, computer facilities with internet access. A kitchen can be found in every suite.
Within the hotel there are various meeting rooms and a business center that provides fax, typing, photocopying, express mail and air ticket reservation services. The recreation club's facilities in the hotel's lower ground floor, include a gymnasium and a billiards room.
For dining there are some interesting options as well, with the Sabatini Western Restaurant, supposedly reminiscent of an English pub, and the Thai Village Sharksfin, a Thai restaurant renowned for its seafood.
