Guangzhou will build more business zones around Pazhou, Bai'e'tan and Baiyun New City to enhance its business profile, as announced by Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Gan Xin during the Working Conference on Industry and Commerce held on January 14th.

The Guangzhou International Commodities Exhibition and Trade City will be built in Hualong Town of Panyu District and a street where classic Cantonese cuisine will be sold is to be built on Pantang Lu. Additionally, 80 fueling stations providing diesel oil and gas of national standard III will be constructed in March of 2009.

He said that the gross sales of goods exceeded RMB 1000 billion  (US $137 billion) with the gross industrial output value of nearly RMB 1000 billion (US $137 billion) in 2007.
