On the morning of November 8th, the 16th Asian Rock Climbing Championships kicked off at the Baishuizhai resort in Zengcheng of Guangzhou.

A total of 107 climbers from ten countries and regions, including China's mainland, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea, competed for six gold medels. It was the first time for Guangzhou to host such a championship, which is the highest level competition for the sport in Asia.
